Dear parents of LIX students,
You are all invited to a parents’ Coffee hosted by APELIX before the Primary School Poetry Festival on Friday, February 13, 2026, between 8:30am and 10am in the cafeteria.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our warmest thanks to the students and parents who contributed to the success of the 6th LIX Christmas Market.
Although the weather wasn’t great, the work put in by the Organising Committee, joined on the day by many of you, allowed us to welcome nearly 1,500 visitors who enjoyed the quality and variety of the booths and activities.
All the primary school students made small items to sell and also created decorations that brightened up the Christmas Market.
Three classes particularly distinguished themselves by selling raffle tickets (1ère, C.M.2 and C.M.1). APELIX rewarded the students and teachers with a delicious afternoon snacks.
Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone, young and old, students, parents, members of the LIX community, as well as, of course, the sponsors and vendors at the Market, a total of 3,616,000 wons was raised and distributed as follows :
- 1,458,000 wons for the Soyang Orphanage near Busan (renovation of a bathroom)
- 952,000 wons to provide 25 food boxes for disadvantaged families in Pyeongchang-dong
- 603,000 wons for the Maison Saint Jean, which shelters isolated young boys (maintenance of the three residential buildings)
- 603,000 wons for the Village de Sainte Germaine, which helps young girls with disabilities (purchase of kitchen equipment)
APELIX will be organising other events before the end of the school year.
