Mandatory Fees
Registration Fee
The initial registration fee is payable upon acceptance of your application by the school. This fee applies to all students who were not enrolled at LIX during the previous academic year (from September 1st to June 30th).

Reductions on the Initial Registration Fee
- If one of the parents is employed by LIX and the family does not receive any educational assistance from the spouse’s employer, a 100% reduction on the initial registration fee is granted.
Re-enrollment Fee
The re-enrollment fee must be paid before May 19. It applies to all students currently enrolled at LIX who wish to re-enroll.

Annual Tuition Fees

These fees include :
- Regulatory schooling.
- Supplies (elementary), exercise books, workbooks, and reading books (except dictionary).
- Loan of textbooks (any lost or damaged books will be charged).
- Swimming (elementary).
- Insurance fees.
- Educational outings in Seoul (elementary).
These fees do not include :
- Supplies (middle school and high school).
- Educational outings (middle school and high school).
- Examination registration fees: Brevet and baccalaureate.
- Extracurricular activities (drawing workshop, photography club, etc.).
Discounts on Annual Tuition Fees :
- A 5% discount is granted to families with three or more children enrolled.s.
- A 3% discount is granted if one of the parents is a member of the FKCCI.
- For re-enrollments only, a 2% discount is granted to non-scholarship families if fees are paid before July 15 and the full academic year is completed.
- If one of the parents is employed by LIX and the family does not receive educational assistance from the spouse's employer, an 80% discount is granted on the annual tuition fees.
Insurance :
- If a student is injured at LIX and requires hospital care, the incurred fees may be reimbursed depending on the coverage provided by the insurance included in the annual tuition fees. Simply submit the hospital and pharmacy receipts to the infirmary for reimbursement.
School Cafeteria Fees
The annual canteen fees cover lunches 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday, from September to June, in accordance with the school calendar. (The amounts below are subject to change.)

Uniform Fees
The uniform is mandatory, and the student must have a complete uniform (minimum of three pieces)
- Pants or a skirt.
- A jacket (secondary) or a sweatshirt (elementary).
- A white polo shirt.
As prices vary depending on the models, families can refer to the LIX website for more details.

Examination Fees
These fees are set by the examination center (Lycée Français de Séoul, 2025-2026 rates): :
- Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) in 3e grade: 160,000 KR
- Early baccalaureate exams (EA) in 1re grade: 400,000 KRW
- Baccalaureate exams in terminal grade: 710,000 KRW
Optional Fees
Boarding
The boarding service is available for 10 months, from September to June, from Sunday evening at 7:00 PM to Friday evening at 5:00 PM, in accordance with the school calendar. During this period, it includes accommodation, dinner, and evening study.
This is an annual and monthly fixed amount. Any month that has begun is fully payable.
Temporary Absence
- If the boarding student leaves the dormitory temporarily, they may keep their room but will be required to pay a monthly administrative fee of 100,000 KRW.
Options and Specialties
Some elective courses (options, specialty courses) may incur an additional cost depending on the number of students involved.
Extracurricular Activities (AES)
AES fees must be paid in full upon receipt of the invoice. Circulars will be distributed throughout the year with detailed payment information.
Enrollment During the School Year
For enrollment during the school year, the annual tuition fees (1.3), canteen fees (1.4), and dormitory fees (2.1) will be calculated according to the following rule:

Principles
Principes
- The responsibility for payment lies with the families.
- The total amount due must be paid before September 1st. (Payment in installments is also possible. Please refer to Article 7.)
- The registration fee must be paid within 15 days following the issuance of the invoice.
- The re-enrollment fee must be paid before May 19th.
Late Payment
If, 20 calendar days after the child's initially scheduled arrival, the full tuition has not been paid and no payment plan has been requested, or if a scheduled payment is not honored within 20 days of its due date, a penalty of 3% annually on the outstanding amount will be applied, calculated in proportion to the number of days late from the due date.
Failure to pay will result in the expulsion of the student and the initiation of legal proceedings after all amicable solutions have been exhausted.
If any balance remains unpaid by the end of June, the school will not proceed with the student's re-enrollment for the following academic year.
Payment Methods
- All invoices are issued exclusively in South Korean won (KRW).
- Cash payments are not accepted.

Refund Policy for Mid-Year Withdrawal
- The registration fee and re-registration fee are non-refundable.

The annual tuition fees are generally non-refundable, even if the student must leave the school due to a decision by the administration or the disciplinary board. However:
1.If the family cancels the student’s enrollment before September 1st, 90% of the annual tuition will be refunded.
2. After September 1st, only in cases of force majeure, the family may request a refund for the unused trimesters (trimester start dates: 01/09, 15/12, 15/03).The refund will be granted upon submission to the administration of official documents justifying the reason for the student’s departure.
- Cafeteria and boarding fees will be refunded for any months that have not commenced.
- Students are required to return the borrowed textbooks at least 2 days before the departure date.
Scholarships
Scholarships may be available for French nationals enrolled from the preschool middle section to grade 6, according to the regulations in force in France (application forms can be obtained at the Consulate of the French Embassy). If the scholarship is granted, the family will only pay the portion not covered by the scholarship, but they must pay the first-time or re-registration fees in advance. For other grade levels, exceptions may be requested.
Waiver
In case of difficulty in paying the total amount of fees before the start of the school year, it is possible to request a waiver from the school’s accounting department, no later than 15 days before the payment deadline, by presenting supporting documents. Parents wishing to benefit from this waiver are also required to fill out the payment plan form provided by the accounting service and submit it within the specified time frame. The request will then be submitted for approval by the institution. Assistance may be offered in certain special cases.
(*) The student's registration nationality must comply with the guidelines of the Seoul Rectorate:
- A child with dual nationality whose both parents are Korean must be registered under Korean nationality.
- An exception to the above rule applies if one of the parents has dual nationality and formally renounces their Korean nationality.
